'Kunstwerk Carlshütte' again chosen as Selected Landmark by the initiative 'Germany - Land of Ideas'

For the second time after 2008 the Kunstwerk Carlshütte has become a Selected Landmark by the initiative Germany - Land of Ideas. Four years ago the initiative, which runs under the patronage of the Federal President, has selected the international art exhibition NordArt as a Landmark in the Land of Ideas. This year, in 2012, this nomination of the Selected Landmark is given for the 'China-Pavilion'.

NordArt is the official venue for the Chinese Culture Year in Germany 2012
The Kunstwerk Carlshütte is with the NordArt one of the official venues of the Chinese Culture Year 2012 in Germany. With the special exhibition "China-Pavilon - Contemporary Art form China" and a solo exhibition with the works of Prof. Zeng Chenggang the NordArt has now been integrated into the program of the Culture Year. Along with the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival the Kunstwerk Carlshütte is now the official venue of the Chinese Culture Year in Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg.

NordArt-Prize 2011: Peter Lundberg (USA)
Hans-Julius Ahlmann and Johanna Ahlmann (ACO Group) have donated for the first time in 2010 the NordArt-Prize worth 10 000 Euro.
The NordArt-Prize 2010 was awarded to the chinese sculptor Zen Chenggang.
The name of this years awardee, Peter Lundberg,
was announced at the 'Long Night of the Lights' on the 17th of September. The price giving ceremony will take place during the opening of the NordArt 2012.

NordArt-Public-Choice Award 2011:
The visitors of the NordArt had three months to cast a vote for their favourite piece of art or their favorite artist. The first prize comes with a prize money of 1000 Euro and the second and third each 500 Euro. More importantly all three artists are invited to participated in the NordArt 2012. We already look forward to see their works next year.
The award ceremony took place during the `Long Night of the Lights` on the 17th of September 2011.
